OVERVIEW

IEG has evolved into an integrated engineering solutions provider capable of providing a plethora of custom machining and fabrication services in the area of drilling, completion and offshore production-related equipment.

It has emerged as a strong international contender for the downhole completion tools sector after having achieved API11D1 and API14L monogram license in March 2018. In 2019, IEG has successfully developed, manufactured and delivered 3 units of Hydraulic Workover Unit (HWU) for South East Asia and China offshore market.

Standing behind these achievements is a team of highly trained, experienced and dedicated multi-disciplined Engineers who come together and overcome complex challenges daily. Behind them is the full weight of IEG Corporate resources such as our test centre and the latest 3D Modelling software such as SOLIDWORKS, NX Siemen and ANSYS, quality instrumentation such as the Faro CMM and Laser tracker to verify and validate our designs.

Our commitment is to the success of your project. Please specify IEG products and services in your next project.

TECHNICAL BULLETIN 150901

In June 2015, IEG was approached by L&M Foundation Specialist Pte Ltd (a unit of CSC Holding) to design and build a pile extractor to assist in the excavation of old piles at one of Singapore’s busiest CBD areas. The vicinity of the site is just meters from existing MRT Tunnel. So L&M faces a very big challenge to extract the piles safely.
IEG Engineer develops a non-vibration 280-ton pile jack. With IEG Oilfield extensive welding experience, we
build and successfully deployed, tested, and commissioned the jack at the construction site.

IEG is the lead Engineer providing Installation Aid to decommission a FSO Riser at the Natuna Sea. The project involves temporarily pack off a Butane, Propane Riser and Power Cable. A new water proofed pulling head is required for all three items able to withstand 90m water depth and a design life of upto 12 years under the sea bed.
IEG provide safe deployment procedure, design, analyse, manufacture, coat, function, proof load and pressure test the tools before deployment. Thanks to our customer technical service team’s cooperation and support, the project was completed ahead of schedule. The items were manufactured and tested at our Batam plant.

In Feb 2016, IEG was approached by Cameron Drilling to design and build an approved Shipping Skid for the
newly built 4-Way Std Cross API-20Ksi, X’mas Tree for Kuwait. Drawing from our experienced in heavy lifting,
design and build capability, IEG successfully designed, manufactured, painted, proof load tested and delivered
in May, 2016.

TECH BULLETIN 1702001

IEG challenges traditions in gas lift equipment design and helps the customer overcome Gas Lift Mandrel (GLM) length constraint on a shallow well producing 2 MMscfd/ea.
Well Design: 36 Wells

  • o 9-5/8” surface casing cemented to surface
  • 7” production casing run to below springbok aquifer (80-400m) and cemented to surface via an external casing packer
  • 7” perforated liner and open-hole below this point
  • Progressive cavity pump run on 3-1/2” or 2-7/8” J-55 EUE tubing to ~ 30m from the bottom (ranges from 400-1000m)

The Well produces water up the tubing to de-water the coal and produces gas up the casing side.
Due to remote well location, the customer has a constraint with work over equipment hence a short GLM is required. IEG’s dedicated team of Engineers came up with a 35% shorter GLM (70” instead of std 108”) to meet
the customer’s requirement and still able to use standard Kickover Tool (KOT).
